We found this fort on the beach while searching for waves. The surf didn't work out, but the fort did! Never look a beach house in the mouth, even if it is a makeshift one.  It was a great wind block!

Sick Day

Four days into school and Gio is home sick. Poor guy was sick all weekend, with a high fever, nearly 104 at one point, a tummy ache and runny poo masquerading as farts.

What's better than chicken noodle soup when you're sick? Nothing I could think of so I made some for both of us.

As we're sitting there eating Gio points out, "Mom you just slurped!"

"Um, I did?" I say, surprised.

"How come we can't slurp and you can?" asks Gio. "So we have to follow your rules, but you don't? That's not fair!"

We picked up our camper from Jesus camp today! He had a lot of fun!

Missing Our Camper

We haven't spoken one word to Vinny since we dropped him off at camp on Sunday afternoon. Thankfully, the camp posts pictures of him on their website so, at least, we know he's still alive.

Summer Camp

Vinny has been at camp less than 24 hours and we're already spying on him through the Internet thanks to the summer camp's website............
