It turns out one of the kitties, Luna Mew, is allergic to the new litter.

By allergic, I mean she shoots out 5 inch long green strings of snot upon one whiff of the WRONG and apparently dusty, LITTER.

And also keep your mouth closed when Luna sneezes. Eww.

Anyhow, I switched back to a fragrance free crystal litter, ExquisiCat® Crystals Fragrance Free Cat Litter.

After a few days of switching back to the dust free litter, Luna Mew's congestion is nearly gone. Hooray!

Black and White

"We need to rent some movies during break from when Daddy and I were kids," I say to Vinny.

"There weren't any good movies when you were a kid, Mom," says Vinny.

"Sure there were," I say. "You liked "The Sandlot" movie," I say.

"I don't think The Sandlot was a movie when you guys were kids," says Vinny.

"Yes, it was, I think?" I say.

"They had color back then?" wonders Vinny in amazement. I thought it was all black and white.

Note: To be honest, "The Sandlot," came out in 1993, when I wasn't exactly a kid at 25, but I wasn't exactly a grown up either, though technically I was an adult. And, "The Goonies," which came out in 1985, when I was a kid, was definitely in color.....So there.

Janet Evanovich Wicked Series

While I was painting the bathroom FOR FIVE DAYS, I needed some entertainment. I found it in the "Wicked Series," by Janet Evanovich.

There are only two books, Wicked Appetite and Wicked Business, in the series so far.

But with main characters like Lizzy,  who bakes enchanted cupcakes, and her magical and studyly costar, Diesel, there are sure to be more books on the way.

The books are not great literature. But they are full of fun and oddball characters including a monkey named Carl, who says, "Eeeeeeee," and gives nearly everyone the finger.

The series got me through five days of painting. What more could a gal ask for?

I wouldn't say the books are worth paying $8.99 a piece, but here are the links for them on kindle, anyways. I got them FREE from the online library, which more people should take advantage of, if they aren't already because with a library card and a pin, it's easy and FREE.

Update 11/8/12: Washington State also passed gay marriage!

After winning last night's election, The United States President's twitter account, @BarackObama, tweeted this picture at 8:16 p.m. Since then it has been retweeted 673,311 times and counting. The President's tweet has been favorited 229,696 times and counting.

These numbers, which are still going up every time I refresh the page, make it the most popular tweet ever. Apparently a few people like this guy #gobama..............

Now if the Republicans and the Democrats work together, we can truly make progress.

In other 2012 Election news, the U.S. Senate had a record number of women elected to office. True women are still underrepresented in the U.S. government, but this is a huge step in the direction of fairness and equality.

And for the first time, in Maryland and Maine, voters have cast their votes in support of gay marriage.

In California, voters passed Governor Jerry Browns Prop 30 tax initiative that adds more than $6 billion to the public education budget.

Now there's progress! But we still have a long way to go. Let's do this!

Its November and it's 80 degrees. It seems we're a couple months behind in the weather.

Since there was a lot of unseasonal fog in September and October, which are normally some of the best weather months of the year, this is a welcome change.

There's nothing like the fresh nauseating, vomit inducing smell of diesel fuel in the morning, is there Internet?

I don't know how this boat ended up on the wrong side of the surf. But I do know it leaked a lot of diesel fuel while crews worked hard to successfully tow it out of the water Saturday. Bleh.
