I'm A Liar

I'm a liar.  Twelve days ago I said I was too busy to write.

The truth is I'm too lazy to write.  The only reason I'm writing this post is because I'm avoiding non-surfing exercise, any exercise that isn't surfing. Liar and avoider of healthy acitivity, that's what I am.

Writing is time consuming, exhausting, and hurtful to my butt (from all the sitting).  Also, writing is painfully repetitive with endless editing, rewriting and revisions.  The main problem with writing is it can ALWAYS be improved.  There are always words to be cut, and new sentences to add to paint a clearer picture to  readers.   

In other words, I'm working on a new blog post about Vinny starting high school, which I started months ago.  Someday I'll publish it, probably.

Anyways, I'm an honest person so I just thought I'd let everyone know I'm a fibber.  Happy THREE day weekend, Internet.  Make good choices.

Though writing a blog everyday, takes a lot of dedication or obsession, I love it. Except on the days I don't love it. Those days go something like this: I'm exhausted I have nothing to post for tomorrow, what am I going to write?

Then I remember writing is a labor of love, and that keeps me going.

The other part of the blog that keeps me going are the readers. I love the blog readers, and I adore making them laugh.

When someone says to me, "I love your blog!" it fills up my insides with warm fuzzies.

And did I mention it keeps me blogging? There have been plenty of days, when I think, "that's it not another day of this blogging nonsense!"

Then someone says those four magical words, and my attitude transforms into "The Little Engine That Could."

"I think I can, I think I can."

Thank you! to everyone who takes the time to read my blog everyday, or every other day, or once a week, or even once a month. I deeply appreciate the support.

Thank You Internet!

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night, after just falling asleep, in a panic over the next day's blog.

"What is tomorrow's blog about?" I frantically try to recall. "What deep dark secret will I be revealing tomorrow? Is everyone going to hate me? Or think I'm weird?"

"No. They won't think I'm weird. They already know that. Phew! This whole blog thing is silly. That's it! I'm going to stop this nonsense. No more blogging for me."

Then the next day someone, who I didn't even know was reading my blog, will say something like:

"Oh my gosh. I love your blog. It makes me laugh out loud."

Or:

"Your blog made me laugh so hard I was crying. My husband came into the room to see what was wrong."

Which are so much better than:

"Your blog doesn't have to be funny everyday."

Or:

"Wow, you're such a dork. I can't believe you did that. I still love you, though." I no longer send this person my blog...........................because, she requested I "hold off for awhile."

And it's comments like these that keep me blogging. Well the first two, anyways. I do appreciate the honest feedback, though, sometimes it's hard to swallow, at first. So, whether you really mean it or not, or just feel sorry for me and are trying to be nice. Thank you. Thank you to each and every person who reads my blog and/or says they love it.
