Yesterday, Chloe showed me a picture of her Hubby, Shadow Cat, who passed seven years ago. I knew, then, she was ready to go to, whatever resides beyond our world.
She was the best kitty ever. Loving. Smart. Fun. Patient.
I miss her so much. She was my kitty soul mate. Now she is my kitty angel.
When I close my eyes, I see Chloe and Shadow, running through a field, chasing butterflies.

"What is words with friends?" asks a Non-Social Gamer.
Words With Friends is a Scrabble-like, social gaming app, for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The comparable android app is WordFeud. My username is wendysurf for both apps, so hit me up, y'all.
"And why is this victory remarkable? " asks Non-Social Gamer.
Never in my wordiest dreams did I think I would win a match against @Virtuallllmom, since I usually lose to her by two to three HUNDRED points. I am over Noah Webster's Moon.
"Every Girl Like Me," is probably my favorite song on Sugarland's newest album "The Incredible Machine." It's just plain fun to sing along with, Internet. And fun is all I need to have a good time. :)
I'm a little afraid to drive over Big Sur's Bixby Bridge, let alone jump off it. Just watching this guy, who seemed incapable of walking, made me scream,"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
"What are you watching?" asks Hubby. "That's dangerous. Don't post it on your blog. You'll just encourage those crazies."
"Who the boys?" I ask pointing at our sons.
"The base jumpers!" Hubby says.
"I'm pretty sure they don't need encouragement," I say.
And for that matter, our sons don't need much encouragement either.
"That's not a cave, that's a stairwell," I explain incorrectly.
"But I'm staring at it, and nothing's happening?" says Gio confused.
I'm not sure what he was expecting to happen by staring into the well. But it's no wonder he was confused, since the space under the stairs is actually called a spandrel, not a stairwell.
"You did?" asks Hubby incredulously. "Form of water, what's that all about?"
Well, actually Zan, the Wonder Twin guy , could be the form of water in any state, from liquid to ice. I believe that would include, "form of a wave," which in my opinion is very cool, and would be seriously convenient for this surfer girl!
I could go surfing without ever leaving the house!
"Mom I need a white shirt, white pants, and a black belt," says Gio preparing for a Karate themed birthday party.
"Okay, but I don't think I have a black belt," I say. "Will purple work?"
"Sure!" says Gio.
And according to my friend who took Gio and his BFF to the Karate birthday party, "all the other kids were wearing normal clothes, except for our boys. They were the only two kids wearing Karate outfits."

Oh my goodness Internet!!!! Hubby and I had a double date Friday night with Kim and Charlie, also known as Dancin' Jimmy! And he DANCED!!!! Two times.
I am freaking out, they are so fun and nice. I wish they lived here. Sigh.

Oh right, sorry. I met @kimjay_everyday, photographer extraordinaire, on twitter, a few years or so ago. She is one of my twitter friends. Actually now we're facebook friends, and Words With Friends(scrabble), too. Charlie is her Rock Star Hubby.
Communicating with a friend on twitter is very similar to texting due to the way I have my notifications set up, and therefore easy. When I think about it, online friends are just high tech pen pals.
"So you're going to meet kimjay_everyday for the first time in real life?" asks Gio. "Do I get to meet her, too?"
I wasn't sure about that part. My Mom was coming over to babysit and the house was A MESS. You know how people say, "Oh my house is a mess," and then you go in and can't find anything out of place, except for an unfolded couch blanket?
That is not my house. When I say it's a mess. It's a mess. And by mess I mean, laundry-toy-miscellaneous items bomb explosion everywhere because I've been surfing so much.
They actually did get to come and see our messy house and THE BOYS, but only because I temporarily lost my mind and listened to Hubby. He's usually right, but not this time.
"Have them come over," says Hubby. "I'll clean up the house."
15 minutes later, well before any cleaning could take place, Hubby says, "Uh, someone's knocking on the door."
To which I reply, "That's not someone, that's kimjay_everyday!"
Anyways, Kim has been a great friend online. I mean I sort of know how to fold a fitted sheet thanks to her. And she makes me laugh when I feel like crying. So to actually get to meet her in person, was, like, CRAZY COOL!!!!!!!!!
And Charlie is a great guy! Did I mention he danced twice? They both scored big time!
They were both easy to talk to, and did I mention fun? After last month it really was a sweet treat surprise to finally meet them in real life.
I may never visit Kim and Charlie in Memphis, but who knows, maybe I'll meet up with them sometime on Maui?
"Can I wear this to the Karate party tomorrow?" asks Gio.
"Uh, you can wear that as much as you want AT HOME," I say. "Where did you find that outfit anyways? "
"I dug it out of a laundry pile," answers Gio.
I glance around the room and sure enough there is a basket laying on its side, with laundry spilling out.
I am going to have to be way more strategic with the laundry piles in the future. But I am not sure why the boys' infant baptismal outfit is still in laundry circulation in the first place?
Oh right, now I remember! It's because I am in charge of the laundry and I have no proper training in that department.
Now accepting prayers for Chloe Omi Nay Nay Kitty. Any of those names will work. She's still eating, and having good output, and by output I mean peeing and pooping.
Also, she's not in any pain. We've been doing a lot of cuddling. She's a love.
The other night I fell asleep after midnight. No biggie right? When I woke up I thought it was 5:30, almost time to get out of bed. I turned on my phone it was just after 4 a.m.
When I finally fell back to sleep, it was time to wake up. Ugh. I could have used the lightening bug app on my phone. Lightening Bug is a free Android app that turns my phone into a soothing sound machine.
Next time I have a hard time falling asleep, or going back to sleep, I'm going to use the Lightening Bug App. And I won't put the button next to my speed dial buttons either. At least that will make it harder to accidentally ring someone when I wake up in the middle of the night.
"We're you really up at 4 a.m.," asks my Cousin.
"Uh, yeah, sorry I accidentally hit your number," I say sheepishly. "I tried to hang up before I rang your phone. I guess I didn't.
"At first I thought it was an emergency, but when you hung up right away, I knew you called me by accident," says my Cousin. "I figured you were playing with your phone."
Good thing she loves me. Maybe I shouldn't have a speed dial app (Speed Dial Lite). It's dangerous.
I have surfed three days in a row, and it feels good to be back on my medication. Vinny's catching up on homework. Tomorrow's school clothes are set out, as well as Tuesday's.
Feels like things are FINALLY getting back to normal. Phew.
